HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

Here at Kettle Co we take your privacy seriously and collect your basic personal data including name, address, telephone number and email address to provide the products and services you have requested and to administer your account.

When you purchase or contact us either in person or via our website we may collect, hold, and process your personal information (for the purposes stated below).

Third Parties:

We will not share this information with third parties or any other party that is not relevant to the services provided by KC. Exemptions to this policy under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 may apply.

However, we need to pass your details onto other companies that will supply parts of you order, such as worktop providers, sink and tap manufacturers, subcontractors, etc.  This is to ensure they can contact you with regards to your purchase (deliveries, warranties, etc.). In order to proceed with your order, we will need to obtain your signed consent.

The third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways/payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies, so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Kettle Co. Marketing:

With your permission we may contact you with details of other offers we provide. If you consent to us contacting you for this purpose, we will ask you to choose your preferred form of contact, e.g. post, email, telephone call or text message.

At any time you have the choice to unsubscribe to Kettle marketing. You can do it either via email or phone call.

Taking part in surveys:

From time to time Kettle Co. may conduct surveys: in order to gauge customer satisfaction, for example. The results of these surveys will be for Kettle Co.’s business administration purposes only and will not be shared with any other party.

Photography of our work:

We are proud of our kitchens and we’d be delighted if you let us take a few images of your completed project. We will ask for your written permission to send our Kettle Co. photographer, and therefore share your contact details, such as name, address and telephone no. with them.

Images of your kitchen will be then shared on our website, Facebook, Pinterest and Houzz. At some point we may use them for other marketing purposes. Your details remain confidential at all times.

HOW DO WE GET YOUR CONSENT?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction or for contact purposes, we require your acceptance of the content of this privacy policy. You are consenting to our collecting and using your data, and we will use it only in the ways that have been specifically stated here.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will ask you directly for your expressed consent.

HOW DO YOU WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT OR REQUEST DATA TO BE REMOVED?

After you opt in, if you change your mind you may withdraw your consent for us to store any personal data. You have the right to erase the information we hold at any time, but please note that this will cancel your warranty agreement as we will no longer be able to trace your purchase. If you decide to do so, you should do it in writing.

DO WE USE COOKIES?

Yes, we do. A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser. We may use both “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies on the website. We will use the session cookies to keep track of you whilst you navigate the website. We may use the persistent cookies to enable our website to recognise you when you visit. Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date. We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. HOW DO WE SECURE YOUR PAYMENT DATA?

If you choose to pay your invoice in store by your credit or debit card, it is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Once it is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. Our Payment operator is Paymentsense, acting as an agent of First Data Europe Limited, trading as First Data Merchant Solutions, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA firm reference number 738728).

Every business taking card payments must meet industry-wide regulations known as PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). These requirement ensure customers’ data is kept as secure as possible.

All direct payments adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

How do we handle and store your data?

All the personal data we process is administered by our staff, sub-contractors and suppliers who we use for your specific products and service. Your information is located on our integrated ordering system software (EQ) on secure servers within the European Union.

Your personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the information was collected, until the end of your warranty with us or required by law. After such time your data will be destroyed. We regularly review what personal data we hold.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect about you.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation GDPR you have the right to:

•             Access the personal data we hold for you

•             Rectify the personal data we hold for you

•             Erase your personal data from our records

•             Restrict processing of your personal data

If you wish to make a request to Kettle Co. for any personal information we may hold, you will need to put the request in writing addressing it to our data protection officer at Unit B, St Austell Bay Business Park, Par Moor Road, St Austell, Cornwall, PL25 3RF.

If you agree and once identification has been confirmed (in-line with the DPA, 98) Kettle Co. will try to deal with your request informally, for example by providing you with the specific information you need over the telephone.

If Kettle Co. holds information about you, you can also ask us to correct any mistakes by, once again, contacting the data protection officer.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you on our website that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we use and/or disclose it.
