We love looking back at our completed projects and seeing how our designs come to life. And, this is one kitchen story that has been long overdue.
Our clients came to Kettle Co, looking for help renovating an old Methodist Chapel in Devon.
From the outset, Simon worked closely with our clients to capture all the fine details in this exciting chapel renovation. This was a vital part of the journey that meant he could design a 3D render that truly reflected the finished product!
"The overriding goal of the client was to get a very clean and minimalist look, to offset the amount of dark wood in the property. They had kept some of the original pews and tables along with the alter but wanted to bring it into the 21st Century with modern handleless kitchen.”

The breath-taking gloss white kitchen is designed to complement the renovated style of this traditional Methodist Chapel. Simon made sure to inject the perfect balance of modern and traditional accents into this design in order to highlight the natural structures of the property.
Our Ebbor handleless kitchen door was the perfect choice as it adds a sleek minimalist look to the kitchen space. Furthermore, the charcoal bespoke shelving adds the perfect juxtaposition to the neutral colour palette of the room!
Although this kitchen follows a clean modern aesthetic, traditional accents have been injected into this design in order to highlight the natural structures of the property. From wooden flooring to custom-built cabinetry, this kitchen feels just as much a part of the property as the stunning Church Altar.
Our customer loved this addition of custom-built cabinetry as not only did it add depth and texture to the design, but it offers great practicality with its abundance of storage.
The island is the centrepiece of the whole space and is packed with functionality and the latest kitchen technology. It features two integrated ovens, a gas hob and a retractable downdraft cooker hood.
“Initially, the client was struggling with what to do with the kitchen island. They knew that the ovens and hobs had to be in the island, so we worked together to get the right cabinet configuration. However, the whole concept was one that I designed, and I’m pleased to say works incredibly well!
My favourite part is the waterfall quartz sides all-round the island. They add such a clean and elegant aspect to the kitchen."
