Georgian Inspired Classic Kitchen

This recently completed classic kitchen has been fitted with our signature Killerton doors which are painted in a calming light grey and made with real oak carcasses for a traditional feel.

Our client owns a Georgian property and wanted a kitchen that complemented the timeless look of their home. We chose a classic shaker design to fit in with the Georgian aesthetic featuring real wood cabinets painted in stone to create a slightly warmer tone throughout the kitchen space. They also complimented the Quartz worktops & solid oak breakfast bar and real wood flooring.

The kitchen worktops are made from 20mm quartz and work beautifully with the traditional sink and tap that was chosen by our client.

The Everhot range cooker is surrounded by a bespoke-designed breakfront canopy which adds a unique flourish to this beautiful kitchen.

The kitchen units are fitted with Blum soft-close hinges for maximum luxury and Pewter cup handles for easy grip. These are just some of the little details that create that classic kitchen look and perfectly fit in with the period feel of the client's home.

The chic industrial pendant light over the kitchen island was supplied by The Soho Lighting Co and provided a perfect finishing touch to this classic timeless kitchen.

Finished in Hague Blue, this bespoke-painted, solid ash kitchen features our Cotehele signature door. Designed by Simon from our Plymouth showroom, it's a great example of a traditional kitchen with modern elements. From the deep-pan drawers with glass sides to the integrated pull-out bins, these features provide a modern edge to a timeless kitchen design.

The dark blue kitchen units contrast beautifully with crisp white, lightly veined quartz 30mm worktops. These were supplied by Cornish stonemason, Duke stone of Cornwall.

The matching mantle over the range cooker and the Belfast sink with brushed nickel swan neck tap, add that classic look and feel to this project.

This contemporary handleless kitchen was designed by Joe from our Plymouth showroom and features our Cary True Handleless door finished in Onyx Grey for a modern look. 

At the heart of this kitchen is a stunning wall larder finished in ceramic anthracite. It frames a large fridge freezer, an inbuilt coffee machine and a single oven which complement each other and provide symmetry to the overall design.  

Natural stone is used throughout the kitchen to balance out the more contemporary features. Our client loves to cook and chose the quartz worktops as they provide a practical and durable work surface that can cope with virtually anything.

The natural stone flooring provides a hard wearing floor surface that also offers a warmth that brings balance to the darker shades that run throughout the rest of the kitchen. 

The 30mm quartz stone worktops were supplied by Duke stone of Cornwall and create an on-trend two-tone’ contrast with the kitchen doors. The subtle vein running through the quartz worktops complements the Onyx grey doors perfectly.

The red Everhot range cooker offers a welcome dash of colour that creates an additional focal point in the kitchen. This is such a timeless oven that will never go out of fashion and is perfect for a family home and cooking lover!  

To complement the contemporary look of this kitchen, Joe integrated a variety of modern features into his design, including a hot water Quooker tap, a contemporary Blanco sink and state of the art siemens appliances.

This contemporary kitchen from our signature range was designed by Lily from our St Austell showroom and features a stunning red splashback that makes a real statement. 

The kitchen uses a slab door painted in a porcelain matt finish to give the kitchen a light and airy look and feel. We also used 20mm thick Quartz worktops from a local company called Everything Stone that features subtle marbling for a more modern look. 

Lighting was a particular challenge in this kitchen so we installed an LED strip in the beam above the glass splashback that runs the full length of the kitchen. The high output LEDs illuminate the entire worktop space making it ideal for cooking and food prep.

We used a Blanco tap and subline undermount sink to create a minimalist look. The customer really loved the pan rests inside the lipped edge.  

The kitchen also featured plenty of practical storage solutions. 

Although 2021 is all about dark colours and statements, we needed to go a little off trend on this project as it was important to make the kitchen look nice and bright. The bold red used in the splashback really lifts the overall colour scheme and certainly adds a level of excitement when you first walk into the kitchen. 

This simple shaker inspired kitchen is built around our St Mawes signature kitchen range and is finished in light grey which gives it an open and spacious feel. The simplicity of our St Mawes shaker-style door also creates a refined look throughout the kitchen.

The kitchen island is finished in Parisian blue, one of our most popular colours for 2021 and offers a nice contrast to the rest of the kitchen. It offers plenty of seating for the family and includes plenty of storage space as well as an integrated hob set into the stone worktop.

Another ‘on-trend’ feature is the bespoke pantry which when opened, reveals some beautiful natural wooden shelving and storage units with wording chosen by the customer. They give the kitchen real character as well as offering practicality and functional storage.

Paul worked closely with the client throughout their design journey to create several bespoke elements across the kitchen whilst keeping to their budget.

The Crofts & Assinder rose gold handles offer a touch of class to the shaker doors and work well with the kitchen knobs used throughout the kitchen. 

The TV unit used the same shaker door style to blend in with the rest of the kitchen and extends the ample storage already provided throughout the rest of the kitchen.

This beautiful handmade Williams and Son’s kitchen exemplifies the mix of a modern shaker kitchen in rustic surroundings.

The centrepiece of the kitchen, an enormous 3.6-metre-long island provides loads of working space and a perfect area to entertain guests through an L-shaped seating area with stools at the end.

What makes this kitchen so special, is that every element has been bespoke made and hand crafted to utilise the space to its fullest. From the ample bar area under the made-to-order stairs, to the solid copper inlaid chimney breast above the AGA, which nicely compliments the copper Belfast sink. This kitchen typifies the word sumptuous.

‘My highlights in the kitchen are the solid wood dresser which is a lovely counterpoint to the rest of the painted cabinets and the snug area which, with its library style panelling, harks back to an era of smoking jackets and scotch after a hard day's shooting on the moors.

I also love the set of antique knives hanging on the side of larder cabinet, it makes you want to find out the story behind them.’

This beautiful new shaker style kitchen was painted in Farrow & Ball Strong White and offers a timeless classic look that opens up the kitchen and creates a sense of space. The kitchen island offers a practical worktop and dining space and is painted in Lava to match the cooker and tie in beautifully with the home’s window frames.

We pride ourselves on attention to detail and this can be seen throughout with intricate beading on the door frames, a custom made open plate rack with painted veneered panels and solid wood feet on the island rather than standard legs & plinths.

Practicality and functionality is always at the front of our thinking and this can be seen with the double door walk-in pantry in the corner of the kitchen which provides massive storage space for the family.
