Amazing Solid Ash Kitchen

It was a real pleasure to install this solid ash kitchen in this incredible living space. Not only do the wooden beams create a natural symmetry to the room but they also provide a rustic country feel.

We used solid ash kitchen doors from our Mornington range painted in Dove grey. Firstly, we felt this was the perfect colour to let the natural wooden features shine through. Secondly, it created a more open feel to the whole living space.

Oak worktops and bespoke shelving above the range cooker blend seamlessly with the exposed wooden beams. They bring the whole living space together in a seamless way and create a truly unique kitchen. Moreover, the inset shelves on either side of the mantel are a lovely little touch and work perfectly with the rest of the wooden features.

The owner is definitely a wine connoisseur! We worked closely with them to design a bespoke wine rack with criss-cross spacing and integrated storage. Perfect for impressing and entertaining guests. If you like this bespoke feature, then visit our handmade kitchens page to find out more.

We added a two-tone kitchen island made in solid ash and painted in graphite at the center of the kitchen. It provides a distinct contrast with the Dove grey cabinetry and provides lots of practical workspace. To finish, it's topped with river valley granite supplied by local stonemasons Duke Stone of Cornwall.

We integrated some modern features such as this Quooker tap which provides instant hot water.

As a final touch we included an industrial style pendant light featuring vintage Edison light bulbs.
