Not every cottage kitchen needs to be traditional in design. Our designers are always looking to put a unique twist on a classic design and this charming cottage kitchen is no exception.
This traditional kitchen features our Signature Cary kitchen door and is painted in a brooding Indigo blue. The contemporary twist is in the truly handleless door design, which is a wonderfully unique choice in such a traditional setting.
The white worktops are 'Helford Dream' 20mm quartz from Duke Stone of Cornwall and provide a beautiful contrast with the Indigo kitchen cabinets. They also work well with the whitewashed stone walls throughout the kitchen as well as the rustic wooden beams and door.
All appliances were chosen from HBH Woolacotts including the cream range cooker. Combined with the stone wall, wooden shelving, and eclectic cooking utensils, it creates a charming curated look that fit's in with the kitchen's rustic aesthetic.
Designed by Joe from our Plymouth showroom, he had this to say. "My favourite part of this design was being able to demonstrate a contemporary style within a traditional cottage setting and inspiring our clients to make bold choices that really add character".
As you can see from the photos, our client is planning on plenty of cooking so kitchen storage was always going to be an important aspect of the design. Pullout storage, floor-to-ceiling larder cupboards, and rustic wooden shelving all offer plenty of practical storage.
Cute little design features such as the magnetic knife rack are the perfect finishing touch.
